Ohio Women’s Golf Set for 2023 MAC Championships

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio women’s golf team is set for the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by Western Michigan April 21-23. The three-day event is set to take place at the 6,011-yard Kalamazoo Country Club. Par is set at 72.

Three rounds of 18 holes will be played, with Friday and Saturday’s tee times scheduled for 9:30 a.m., with Sunday’s scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Post season awards will be given following the conclusion of the championships.

Competing for Ohio this weekend is sophomore Sydney Longstreth (Carmel, Ind.), freshman Mackenzie McRee (Tucson, Ariz.), sophomore Thanya Arasu (St. Johns, Fla), junior Mariana Vega-Rivera (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) and senior Avery Ovens (Wiloughby Hills, Ohio). Sophomore Sloane Post (Centennial, Col.) will compete as an individual.

The 10 teams competing in this year’s championships are Akron, Ball Sate, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.
