An iconic 24 year old store closed 3 years ago – it’s set to reopen this year in Upper Arlington

In December of 2020, a Lane Avenue staple for bargain hunters and bibliophiles announced they would be closing their store due to ongoing construction of a new development in the Upper Arlington neighborhood.

This store, Half Price Books, which has been a Columbus go-to spot for novels, music, games, collectibles, and even textbooks, has announced on their website that after three years though, they’re set to reopen by the end of 2023. The photo on their website also shows a rendering of the Arlington Gateway, a new development, in place where a photo of their building used to be.
